What you need for a great day on the slopes...
Ski jacket - make sure it's waterproof and breathable.
Salopettes - again, make sure they're waterproof and breathable!
Ski gloves or mittens - ideally these should be waterproof, particularly if you are a beginner and expect to fall over lots!
Helmet - you can rent these in the resort when you rent your skis or snowboard.
Glove liners & hand warmers – for very cold weather or individuals with bad circulation!
Scarf or neck warmer - merino wool is the warmest!
Ski socks - ideally merino wool - they'll keep your toes warm!
Goggles – you can't rent these, so it's best to buy a pair before travelling to the mountains.
Thermal base layers - ideally in merino wool or manmade fabric.
Fleeces or merino/down mid-layers.
Sun cream - no one wants a red nose!
Snacks - mini mars bars are great!
Sunglasses - a must for lunchtime and Aprés ski on a sunny day!
Shovel, probe and transceiver - for those adventuring off-piste.
