Switzerland Opens Resorts for Ski Season 20-21

Despite some countries across Europe not opening their ski resorts until early next year, one thing is for sure - resorts in Switzerland are up and running. Resorts in Switzerland are maintaining high safety measures in order to make sure their environment is as safe as possible for all its visitors.

Some of the rules and restrictions already in place are:

• The use of face masks will be mandatory on ski lifts, while in the queue, and when using public transport.
• Enclosed lifts will be filled only to a third of their capacity in order to avoid large groups of people in closed environments.
• There will be no après-ski for now which will ensure there will be no big gatherings.
• After the 22 of December 2020, resorts will need a license to stay open guaranteeing they are a safe ski zone.

Many ski companies are now offering flexible cancellation policies and “change of date” options for their customers, this means, you can easily book your trip without being worried if you have to cancel due to COVID-19, just make sure to carefully read their policies or ask directly when booking.
