TEACHING EXPERIENCE
My first teaching experience was in Italy, working as a ski coach in the local ski club (children category). After a few seasons I decided to leave the ski club to teach and coach for different ski schools all around the Alps, from the Dolomites, through Austria to France. This allowed me to get in touch with people from all over the world. I fell in love with the French Alps and decided to take a gap year and stay in France for a full season… but ended up working for 6 seasons instead
LIFE EXPERIENCE (ski related)
I was lucky enough to be born very close to the mountains so I was thrown on the skis at the age of 3, skiing between my dad's legs to begin with and independently the year after. I've been racing until 18, when I realised I needed something more adventurous. I thought it was free-riding but quite soon I realised that the most adventurous part of this new activity wasn't the activity itself but escaping from the police as in Italy you're not always allowed to do it. That's why I also started ski touring and mountaineering. I love the feeling of getting to the top of the mountain and being alone, surrounded by incredible views, the silence and the fresh snow.
My University degree delayed my ski instructor's course, which is why I didn't get my qualification until I was 25 (quite late for the Italian standard). This, however, allowed me to get a Master's degree in Engineering, which enabled me to work in the ski industry, as R&D for Nordica to begin with, developing new technology for skis and boots, and as a product manager for Shred after, developing helmets, goggles and body protections for skiing and biking.
WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE ME?
I like to use my 30 years of experience in this sport (wow getting old!! ), linked with my passion and enthusiasm for teaching to always create new exercises, to challenge you and to make you improve, without even realizing it. All this, seasoned with a charming and delicate Italian accent ;-)

Alberto was a fantastic teacher for our 4 children aged 17, 15, 12 and 9 yrs. Alberto made the lessons fun and he helped their confidence and technical ability. He also gave us good advice on where to ski as a family. We hope to see him again another holiday.

Our family of 6 had two excellent lessons with Alberto. He was very good at explaining how to improve our technique. He showed great patience with all of us and was great at engaging with kids and adults alike. Alberto’s English is amazing and his communication was always really prompt. We all felt that we progressed over our 2 lessons- just wish we had more time in the Alps to practise! We would highly recommend Alberto for his teaching skills, patience and friendly lessons which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks Alberto!

Brilliant - cannot recommend Alberto's coaching highly enough I booked 3 ski sessions with Alberto at Les Arcs 1950. I had skied before, but struggled to move from Blue to Red runs due to feeling out of control on steep slopes and a fear factor! Alberto patiently rebuilt my basic skiing technique and it felt like I made a real breakthrough in a few days. Now skiing on 'nice' reds quite happily and feeling much more confident. He has lots of repeat customers - so clearly a lesson technique that works!

Alberto is simply brilliant. I would recommend any skier to spend some time with him no matter your experience, age or confidence. His immense skiing knowledge and skills are matched equally by his talent for coaching. He has coached our whole family from young children to adults of varying experience and bravery and adapted his style and endless ideas for explanations and exercises to suit us all. We have all progressed so much and come away better skiers than we could have hoped for. And such fun to spend time with, more like skiing with a very encouraging and patient friend! We cannot wait to go out with Alberto again.

Alberto was superb and was able to pitch his lessons at exactly the right level for myself and my colleague. I finished the lesson having learnt more than I expected and my skiing has improved as a consequence. I would DEFINITELY recommend you to anyone who asked me
