I have been teaching skiing for 21 years and have spent 15 years in the Verbier Val de Bagnes area. I love teaching both on and off piste and seeing clients improve, whilst having a great time.
I have the Swiss snowsports Brevet federal qualification and am also BASI (British association of Snowsport instructors) qualified.
Clients can expect a great time skiing the most suitable terrain for their level. I always tailor the lesson to what the clients wish to do; an adventure, a blast around the piste and can answer any technical questions you may have. We will ski hard but are allowed to stop for a coffee or a nice lunch should you wish.
Gordon is a fantastic, friendly, encouraging and skilled instructor! The conditions on the day were pretty bad but Gordon still managed to make the lesson super interesting and productive! He was able to watch me ski and pick out things I could tweak or improve on to take my skiing to the next level. I will definitely be booking Gordon next time I’m in Verbier (if he isn’t fully booked!!). I highly recommend him as a teacher :)

Had instruction from Gordon for 15 years. Always cheery, knowledgeable and happy to pass on his expertise. Would highly recommend.
Gordon, "Gordy" is the best ski instructor ever! Fun, technically very knowledgeable, he taught our three kids over 10 years. The result: the three are fab skiers loving the sport and our son, at age 16, even became a ski instructor for the Ecole de Ski Suisse during a season! Very highly recommend Gordon, who became a good friend of our family.
I've had lessons with Gordon over a number of seasons. Gordon has an uncanny ability to diagnose what you can do to improve your skiing technique. What's really great is that he then offers you a number of different approaches to try and remedy any areas that require work. Everyone skis differently and Gordon knows that different approaches work for different people. He's also really conscious that we all have different approaches to learning and doesn't overwhelm you with feedback, but focuses on the few things which will most improve your skiing technique. Most importantly he recognises that we all learn best when we're enjoying ourselves, so he makes a really effort to ensure that you're having fun. So if you want to improve your skiing whilst enjoying yourselves, Gordon's your man.
You can arrange the meeting point with your chosen instructor by using the Maison Sport messaging system. We recommend agreeing this before you book your lessons, but it can always be arranged at a later date. The instructor should be able to suggest somewhere that is convenient for you both.
Any instructor that has a blue ‘verified’ tick icon on their profile has had their qualifications vetted and verified by the Maison Sport team, the level of qualification required to have a verified account on Maison Sport varies slightly by country. As follows: France – all verified instructors must carry a ‘Carte Professionelle’ licence, the qualification requirements for this licence are very high. The licence is administered by the French Government (to attain a Carte Professionelle most instructors will have studied for an average of 5 years+ to attain the correct level of qualification). Aside from requiring the instructor to have the highest level of qualification, which includes numerous teaching and technical performance diplomas in skiing or snowboarding, European mountain safety courses and the Euro speed test, the instructors are also required to have a criminal record check and a first aid certificate. Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Finland, Scotland, Spain – all verified instructors must carry a minimum level of qualification which must be at the ISIA card level or above. Instructors working independently must provide documentation to show they meet the local regulatory requirements to do so and instructors that are working for a ski school must provide details of the school they work for.
Unless otherwise agreed with the instructor no more than 6 people can take part in a lesson, each instructor will have their own policy for this, so it is best to just double check with them by sending a message. Most instructors won't charge extra if there is more than 1 person taking part in the lesson, but always best to check with them before booking.s
