Highly recommend Giulio! My partner and I are slightly different abilities but he coached us really well and tailored the lesson so we both got the most out of it! We both felt like we had gained so much especially as neither of us had skied for a couple of years so was a really good way to get our ski legs back!!

Giulio was on time good communication right up to the meet point and easily found him amongst hundreds of people, he spent the day skiing with our group of 7 all at different ski levels, split up & did 3 different sessions through the day, new Les Arcs like the back of his hand & took us through the ski school lane as he is an instructor. This day has been so valuable to our entire group & would definitely book him again for our first days skiing to get the week of on the right ski. Funny, polite & professional !

I spent 3 great days with Giulio in Les Arcs. He adapted immediately to the fact that our skiing section was closed and came up with solutions enabling us to ski elsewhere. Giulio was super professional and super adaptable to my requests and preferences. I highly recommend!!!

Giulio was amazing He worked with my wife, son and me. We are all at different leaves and he was great with all of us. My wife did not really want to learn to ski. By the end of the week and she was skiing and really enjoying it.

We have just got back from a week in Les Arcs. We had two 6 year olds and two 8 year olds in our group who were complete beginners. Giulio was fantastic with them and the children loved their week skiing with him. They were off the baby slope after their first day and it was quite incredible how quickly they progressed and how many slopes they covered. They had three hours each day with him and they loved it - he kept it fun by teaching them things through playing games so they didn't even realising they were learning skills/techniques. I would definitely recommend Giulio.

Our kids thoroughly enjoyed their lessons with Giulio in Tignes. They progressed really well with Giulio, who worked a lot on their balance. Would definitely recommend to others, most importantly the kids has lots of fun, whilst improving their skiing. Thank you Giulio, see you next time.

Giulio is fantastic Ski Instructor who really got the balance right between technical input and fun. I would throughly recommend his lessons to anyone and have nothing but postive feedback. Both myself and my daughter really improved with his lessons and we found the way he related some techinical content back to other sports that we are more familar with very helpful. Giulio thank you for making our holiday so much fun !

Three children (aged 14/15) in our party of 16 had Giulio for 5 days of lessons last week (w/c 1st April 2018). All 3 children are advanced skiers having been on 3 ski holidays up until this week. One of the group said they loved having 1 instructor per 3 kids. He said he learnt more on this ski trip than he has in all the others put together! Giulio honed his technique as well as showed him new experiences e.g off piste and snow canyoning. He really enjoyed the lessons and found them very challenging but that is what he wanted. Another said he did a very good job of teaching us. He would have given him 5/5 as they learnt a lot but sometimes felt that he could have been a bit more encouraging when telling them how to improve, therefore the rating is a 4. The best part as a parent was the photos he sent at the end of each day of the children and where they had been during their lesson. He is a great photographer & it was so nice to have an idea of what they had been up to in the 3 hours they were apart from us. He was also flexible about meeting points allowing us adults to explore other parts of the mountain. I would highly recommend! His English is amazing which really helped and he knew the area extremely well.

In short, excellent. Giulio taught three members of our family during the course of our week and Tignes and each of them had a very positive experience. Giulio was able to teach at all levels (they ranged from absolute beginner to a teenager looking for a challenge) and he managed to build confidence, develop skills, and challenge each of them. Perhaps most importantly he did this in a way that was enjoyable too. We would recommend him without hesitation. Thanks!

Guido looked after my husband, who is in the early stages of Altzheimers and 77 years old, very well and was extremely supportive, kind and encouraging . My husband thoroughly enjoyed his mornings skiing with Guido and he hopes to ski again with him next year

Probably great for robust skiers but was not very empathetic with a reluctant skier or a tired child. Maybe a style thing. I am sure for the very fit or confident he would show them a great time on the mountains

Giulio was a very patient instructor. He made learning enjoyable for myself and two sons who were both at different levels. He made sure he gave us all the same amount of time and worked on areas we needed too. He made us all feel very confident and he was so patient. I would highly recommend Giulio. My sons thoroughly enjoyed there lesson and will now be working on what Giulio mentioned to them. I found Giulio was very knowledgeable of our resort and was very informative.

Giulio is a great instructor. I started out knowing some basics and finished as an intermediate after 8 hours over 2 days. He noticed the reasons I kept making the same mistakes and made me do drills that helped me feel and sense the correct movement. His teaching style focuses on not just technique but on the sixth sense of feeling the rhythm of skiing. It’s very hard to teach that and his method helped me understand it. He’s not only a good instructor but also a good guide around the mountains. I was able to ski all the regions of Val D’Isere in 2 days and he knew which slopes to take me to that matched my level. I aimed to ski a red before I finished my lessons with him and that’s exactly what we did for our last run. Can’t wait to ski with him again next time around!

Where is the meeting point?

You can arrange the meeting point with your chosen instructor by using the Maison Sport messaging system. We recommend agreeing this before you book your lessons, but it can always be arranged at a later date. The instructor should be able to suggest somewhere that is convenient for you both.

What qualifications do the instructors have?

All instructors listed on Maison Sport have been verified by their nation's governing body, be it the French Government's Department of Sport, Swiss Ski Federation or The Italian Winter Sports Federation, so you can rest assured you will be in safe hands when you’re on the slopes.

How many people can take part in the lesson?

Generally no more than 8 people, each instructor has their own policy for this, so it is best to just double check with them by sending a message. Most instructors won't charge extra if there is more than 1 person taking part in the lesson, but always best to check with them before booking.s
