We had a 3 hour lesson with Domenico and I can't speak highly enough of him. I'm 50 and had quite a few lessons but never been able to get on through the fear of going faster to improve. But within 2 hours Domenico gave me enough tips and confidence that I could go faster and advance from plough to pretty much parallel turns on both sides. I came away from the lesson loving skiing rather than thinking I can't do this and will be stuck on greens forever. The next day by continuing using the new techniques i was able to go down blues with no fear. Now I can't wait to book my next ski trip up. So I can't thank Domenico enough, he is an amazing teacher and also an absolute gentlemen. He has such a great personality so a pleasure to spend time with. Anyone who is going to Avoriaz or Morzine must use Domenico (but just not when I'm there next year please as I will 100% be booking him again). Thanks again Domenico.

His communication beforehand was great, and he kindly changed the lesson location mid week, moving to Avoriaz, to get the best of the snow. Domenico was far and away the best instructor my two kids have had. They've both been a handful of times but are quite different levels, my younger son being very nervous and not brilliant at following instructions...Domenico handled this challenge expertly, it was the first time they've both come away raving about their lessons, even my normally terrified son. They had great fun, their only disappointment being "we couldn't really muck about because he was just so nice that it would make us feel bad" !! He should maybe offer parenting lessons too! Highly recommend.

I arrived in Avoriaz with a group of experienced skiers, having only ever had 3 lessons in the UK prior to my trip I ended up out of my depth on the first day and lost my confidence completely. Thankfully I had already booked 2 lessons with Domenico to help get me on my way. From the first 5 minutes he had already put me at ease, I went from doing basic snow plough turns very sheepishly on green/blue runs to parallel skiing on red runs in under 6 hours. He has a real way of explaining things, each one step by step so as to not over face you if you are nervous. I would not hesitate to book Domenico again if returning to this resort, what a gem he is.

Where to start…?! So we have 4 children, ages are 6,4,3 & 1. The older three children had lessons booked with Dominico. All I can say is we have never left our children with anyone especially abroad so this to us was a big deal. Out of all the instructors listed that came up on Maison Sport Dominico stood out by far. He looked so friendly, trusting and knowledgeable. My husband was the first to meet Dominico to pass over the three older ones, I called my husband anxiously to ask ‘how was the instructor?’ He replied ‘you could not of chosen a better instructor - he’s amazing’ I felt so happy! My children have never skied before and this is something we wanted them to do from a young age. The 6 & 4 year old were skiing confidentially and independently by day 3 - it was surreal to watch. We skied everyday with them as a family and it was the best experience we’ve had. The 3 year old can ski independently but needs way more support still compared to the others. Dominico is very generous with his time, he is trusting, once the kids are in his hands you feel at ease and comfortable. He is warm, exciting and ever so patient with the children and I must say my children adore him. He is ideal for all abilities of skiing must I mention. I had amazing communication from Dominico on every ski lesson and he sent me updates on how they were. They never wanted to leave Dominico when the lesson ended. I can’t recommend Dominico more. We couldn’t ask for anything more from a ski teacher… he was absolutely fantastic and such a nice gentleman. Thank you Dominico

We had a fab lesson with Domenico! After not skiing for about 12 years we just wanted some refresher pointers and some confidence, and he was great for this. We felt at ease with him straight away, he was punctual and communication was great. He started with the basics but quickly told us all the things we needed to remember in a way that was easy to take on board. Took us on some good runs and a red at the end to prove we can do it, so we feel really confident for the rest of our week in the mountains. We may even book for the children later in the week to supplement what they have learned at ski school. Domenico is an excellent instructor - I had 2 lessons on consecutive days to kick the season off. I was rusty after missing last season and he quickly worked on my (many) bad habits and got my confidence back. We were lucky enough to get powder so worked on that technique and steeper ground between the pistes. Aside from being technically great his enthusiasm is infectious and he is just a great guy to spend time with. Would unreservedly recommend.

I was a first time skier and Domenico immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. He was very encouraging and made me feel like I could progress quicker than I had originally anticipated. I had two lessons with Domenico and by the end of it was comfortably parallel skiing down blue runs. It was helpful that he has a great personality and sense of humour and in the end it felt like I was skiing with a friend not an instructor. I cannot recommend Domenico enough for a beginner and my fiancé who is an experienced had a brief session with Domenico and correct some bad habits and improved his technique going down red and black runs. Where do we start! My little 5 year old had Domenico for 1:1 lessons last week, my little boy loved being with him, he is so engaging and charming and such a good ski teacher. My son's skiing has come on significantly since the time he has spent with Domenico. We loved the videos and photos that he sends during the day so that you can get a real sense of what they are doing and the level of progression. My little boy even went down red runs with Domenico! My son, wife and I also had the pleasure of Domenico's company for lunch, what an enjoyable time we all had sat in the sun! I cannot say enough good things about Domenico. We booked 2 x 3 hour lessons with him for my wife and kids first ever ski trip and by the end of the 2nd lesson they were able to go down a red run. From the moment we met him he made skiing fun. His way of teaching was easy to follow and even when slightly struggling he would try something different so we would understand. His technical instructions are clear but also he is very motivational, encouraging you at all times to be confident and positive. As you go around he always takes photos and videos for you and is generally a really nice guy. I would 100% recommend Domenico and will use him again when we return to Avoriaz. We can’t rate Dominico and Marco highly enough. We originally booked Dominico for our 3 kids (age 4,6 and8) and Marco for me and my husband. I was new to skiing and my husband hadn’t skied in 20 years. Our 4 year old struggled the first day and Dominico and Marco worked together to make a plan that basically had us all skiing by day 2. By day 3 the kids were flying, especially our 4 year old. I was also feeling able and confident. Both Dominico and Marco knew how to adapt and change the structure, layout and methods to meet all our needs. We all skied together for the last few days which was fab and gave me the confidence (as a beginner) to carryon skiing with the kids after our lessons. They made learning fun and were able to respond to all 3 kids very different personalities to get them motivated and confident. They were great to spend time with and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them both together or individually for adults or kids. Our kids haven’t stopped talking about them since we left- we can’t wait to go back.

Dome took my children (aged 9) skiing for a few days in Avoriaz (and even took them to Switzerland one day). He oozes enthusiasm and they had such a fun time and were always excited to go out with him the next day. He was very flexible with meeting points / dropping off points and was always on time. We really enjoyed receiving the photos and the videos of the children in the evening and it was clear that he had taught them many skills. We'd happily book him again purely because of how friendly and accommodating he was aside from everything else!

The kids made great progress and he had a great understanding of them all as individuals. We loved receiving the photos and videos of the lessons, at the end of each day, so we could see what they had been upto. We would not hesitate to recommend Domenico and will definitely book him again for our kids, next year.

Domenico was fantastic! He took a group of 7 children aged 10-15 with varying abilities for four mornings and they truly loved every minute. His enthusiasm for skiing, the mountains and for teaching is infectious. Unlike other ski instructors we have experienced, he also cared about each individual child and all of them made significant progress. His energy is boundless; he entertained them with tricks, set challenges and kept them moving on quickly. Most importantly, they all had great fun. All three families would highly recommend Domenico and would love to book lessons with him again.

Where to start!? Domenicos energy and enthusiasm knows no bounds! Even having spent four days with our four children all under 7 he was still smiling and full of joy! Our children absolutely loved skiing with him and from all the feedback from them (and him) you could tell he had encouraged and pushed them to exactly the right level to make sure all of their skiing had improved massively but whilst still keeping their full enjoyment! A great guy and great teacher! Really hoping he's available next year!!

During two days skiing together he was a good teacher and very nice guy. Our eldest wanted to improve on his technique and also try some different slopes and do the fun jump parks whilst our daughter needed to gain some confidence and work on the basics...Domenico succeeded to fulfill all these requirements and helped make skiing as a family possible. I can't fault Domenico, he was absolutely brilliant. I learnt more with him in three mornings than I have in two previous weeks ski school. He was friendly, explained things really clearly and even filmed me and took photos to give me feedback and constructive commentary. I felt incredibly safe when skiing with him as he gave me the confidence to push myself and put the skills I'd learnt into practice. I would 100% recommend him and we will be booking again if we return to Les Gets.

Finding Domenico on your site as our instructor really made our holiday. As a mixed group of skiing abilities Domenico was friendly, professional and really wanted us to get the most of our week learning to ski. Domenico was fab with the mixed age ranges of 5 children ranging from 8 to 14, from not being able to ski on day one they skied red runs with Domenico by the last lesson. If you are thinking of booking an instructor I strongly recommend Domenico his enthusiasm for skiing is infectious!
