Ovindoli Resort Overview
Located in the heart of the Italian Apennines, Ovindoli village is perched at 1,370m, with its highest ski lift reaching 2,313m. The resort is surrounded by picturesque landscapes and provides access to the expansive Monte Magnola ski area, offering 30km of diverse, skiable terrain.
Established in the early 20th century, Ovindoli offers an array of comfortable, traditional Italian accommodations ranging from quaint ski-in-ski-out apartments to luxurious hotels. The resort is known for its reliable snowfall, with its ski season typically running from December to April.
Skiing in Ovindoli
Ovindoli offers versatile skiing options for all skill levels. There are three lift pass options: a beginner’s ski pass for easy terrain accessible via 7 lifts, an Ovindoli-only ski pass, which allows access to 11 lifts and over 30km of pistes, and lastly, the full Monte Magnola ski pass which covers the entire ski region.
The resort has an array of gentle, wide slopes perfect for beginners such as the scenic Campo Felice and the beginner-friendly Pistone slopes. Intermediate skiers can explore the vast array of blue and red runs that stretch across the resort, such as the lengthy Direttissima and the challenging Magnola.
For advanced skiers, Ovindoli provides a thrilling terrain to master. We recommend venturing to the Monte Freddo area for steep, long black runs and adrenalin-packed mogul skiing. Beyond the 30km of pisted terrain, there are also ample opportunities for off-piste skiing.
Ovindoli is also a hotspot for snowboarding, offering several snow parks that host yearly freestyle events. The resort’s natural landscape allows for an exciting environment for mixed-ability skiers and snowboarders to test their freestyle skills.

How to Get to Ovindoli
The quickest way to get to Ovindoli from the UK is to fly to Rome Ciampino Airport, which is a 1h45m transfer from Ovindoli. Other nearby airports include Rome Fiumicino Airport (2h) and Pescara Airport (2h30m). If you are travelling by train, Avezzano is the nearest station (30m transfer). If you choose to drive to Ovindoli, there is ample parking available in the resort.
