Why book a group ski school lesson?
Booking with us ensures you will have a professional experience, from the time of booking, right through to the ski lessons with our carefully selected, top qualified ski instructors.
Same ability, small groups
We take a maximum of just 4 or 6 skiers per group (dependent on resort). We also ensure these skiers are of a close ability level, enabling the ski instructor to deliver a lesson plan which will be fun and helpful to the entire class.
Learn whilst having fun
Whether you're skiing for the first time, or you're an advanced skier looking to fine tune your technique, you'll be taught some new skills in our group classes. Our experienced team of instructors will show you all the tricks of the trade to progress quickly.
Priority lift access
The ski instructors have priority lift access. Skiing with an instructor will enable you to use the ski school lines to jump part of the lift queue, the ability to skip the queues is particularly useful during busy periods or on powder days.
Confidence boost
Small groups enable the ski instructor to provide plenty of personal feedback to each skier in the class. Whilst some skiers may just need some technical advice to improve, others may simply need positive feedback and encouragement to take their skiing to the next level.
What to expect in your lessons
Beginning of the lesson
Once you have met your instructor at the designated meeting point, and everyone has introduced themselves to the group, its time to get those ski legs ready with a gentle warm up on some easy runs or for beginners or for complete beginners - head to the beginner's area.
Improve your skills
Once warmed up and the instructor has had the chance to assess the groups ability, there may be some switching between groups if required. Otherwise the instructor will start providing a mixture of individual feedback and technical drills to improve your skiing ability.
Explore the mountain
As part of the lesson, the instructor will show you the best runs for your ability, so you will know where to head after the lesson has finished. Your lesson will generally end at the same meeting point where you started the day.

Levels guide
Our ski school group lessons cater for all ability levels, for adults (aged 16+) and children (aged 5 to 15 years old). If it's your first time skiing, our fantastic office team can advise you on a lesson program that will suit you. If you have skied before and are looking for a group to help take your skiing to the next level, then you're in the right place!
Level 0
First Timers
Skiers who are ready to learn to ski for the very first time, participants have never put skis on before or have skied before but were unable to stop or turn. During the week they will cover the basics of speed control, stopping and linking turns.
Level 1
Beginners
Skiers who have skied on snow before, or had some lessons at a dry ski slope or indoor snow centre. Participants are ready to progress from nursery slopes, can ski in a snowplough, performing turns and control their skis to a stop. During the week the group will work on the beginnings of parallel skiing.
Level 2
Intermediates
For skiers who are happy to ski with some speed, with skis parallel most of the time, although maybe still wide apart and if the slope gets steeper they may revert to a snowplough. These groups will cover mastering the parallel turns and some more of the foundations of skiing, such as side slipping.
Level 3
Advanced
Skiers who confidently ski parallel, enjoy a few more of the harder runs and are looking to learn how to perform short parallel turns and carve. Lessons will likely include some variables, such as steeper runs and bumps.
Level 4
Experts
Skiers who can ski most runs on the mountain, enjoy bumps, off piste and are looking to challenge themselves. We will cover improving on-piste skiing so participants are ready to sample all-mountain skiing and the harder pistes in resort.
