I’m very lucky to have caught the passion for skiing as a small child from tracking around the hills from home and skiing to school. I started teaching, racing, and coaching in the Scottish Highlands before moving up to FIS international ski racing around Europe. What to expect in a ski lesson

N.B. Please: Any morning bookings in Tignes can't start before 09:30 so that I can ski over from Val d'Isere. Off-piste lessons or guiding please ski over to meet me in Val or up the mountain near Val so I can provide the off-piste safety kit if needed. (Transceiver, shovel, probe, rucksack). If you'd like an airbag I can advise you where to hire one. For off-piste guiding, I prefer 4hr mornings or a minimum of 3hrs if in the afternoon so we can find and ski the best snow in the best places so please specify in your booking if you're booking Offpiste. Thank you!

Lessons will generally begin at the main lift station in resort, however, it's often also possible to arrange to start your lessons at your accomodation (especially for full day lessons or a lesson starting first thing in the morning). Upon booking Richard H will be able to suggest the most suitable meeting point to ensure you get the most from your lessons. If you have a particular request which will influence whether you book this instructor, for instance starting at a restaurant on the mountain, then we suggest messaging the instructor prior to booking.
