As a purpose-built ski resort, Les Arcs has plenty of terrain that is perfect for beginners. The Front de Neige in Les Arcs 2000 is ideal for first time skiers with two easy blue runs (Renard’ and ‘Edelweiss) which you can progress onto. With a total of 67 green and blue runs in Les Arcs alone, it really is a beginners’ paradise!
What is the skiing like in Les Arcs 2000 for intermediate?
Les Arcs is an excellent area for intermediates with winding tree-lined runs lower down and expansive slopes higher up - you’ll find no end of terrain to discover. The L’Arpette to Plan Peisey is a great 6.2km long piste that guides you down to Plan Peisey, where you can catch the Vanoise Express gondola to explore nearby La Plagne.

With the high altitude and snow sure slopes of Les Arcs 2000, expert skiers will relish the opportunity to tackle the 17 black runs and many areas labelled as ‘natur’ (unpisted) that Les Arcs has. Head to the top of the Aiguille Rouge gondola and you can find some challenging terrain on the Varet glacier.

Les Arcs is open from mid December till late April but for the best snow conditions look to visit between early January and late March.
