About Morzine
Morzine is a great resort for families and first time skiers.Morzine FAQs
What is the skiing like in Morzine for beginners?
Morzine is perfect for beginners with plenty of wide and gentle pistes, ideal for learning to ski. There is a dedicated beginners area with an enclosed magic carpet at the top of the Pléney gondola and you can then progress onto nearby blue runs accessed from the Nabor and Belvedere chairlifts.
What is the skiing like in Morzine for intermediate?
Intermediate skiers can explore the vast terrain of Morzine which is well connected with blue and red runs. Explore the Nyon plateau by following gentle blue slopes from the top of the Pléney gondola or venture into neighbouring Les Gets and challenge yourself on some steeper but quieter pistes.
What is the skiing like in Morzine for experts?
Expert skiers will find plenty of steeper and more challenging runs in Morzine and can take advantage of the high altitude slopes of Avoriaz and Les Gets. The Chammosière Express chairlift provides access to excellent off piste terrain and the unpisted black run is a must for experienced skiers.
When is the best time to ski in Morzine?
Morzine is open from mid December to early April and although at 1000m the town can look quite green early or late in the season, the higher altitude slopes and nearby Avoriaz always have excellent snow cover.
