La Thuile is very welcoming for beginners. With numerous gentle green and blue slopes around the village and upper mountain areas, it’s an ideal setting for novices to start learning. The wide runs, especially in the Les Suches area, provide a comfortable and spacious environment for new skiers to learn and gain confidence.

Intermediate skiers love the variety La Thuile has to offer. From the sweeping red runs that offer panoramic views of the Rutor glacier and Mont Blanc, to the chance to cross over to La Rosière in France, there's an abundance of terrain to explore. The slopes on the San Bernardo Pass, in particular, provide fantastic skiing for intermediates with stunning backdrops.

Advanced skiers will not be disappointed in La Thuile. The resort has a selection of challenging black runs, and the off-piste possibilities are notable, especially after fresh snowfall. The runs from Mont Belvedere are particularly rewarding, with steep descents and varied terrain.

La Thuile is open from late November till late April. Due to its south-facing orientation, the resort enjoys ample sunshine throughout the season, however, this can mean snow cover on the lower slopes can be patchy late in the season.

The instructors are also required to have a criminal record check and a first aid certificate.

Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Finland, Scotland, Spain – all verified instructors must carry a minimum level of qualification which must be at the ISIA card level or above. Independent instructors must also provide documentation to show they meet the local regulatory requirements to teach.
